PS3 Jailbreakers Hitting The Streets

The PS3 was until now unhackable. Last week Sony filed an injunction to stop a Jailbreaker before it's being shipped in Australia. This is a temporary stay but a court date is set for tomorrow, 8/31/10 to make it permanent.


Other countries are lining up to sell the hack.
What the hack does is use the USB port to download games into the hard drive.



Another jailbreak was announced today. This one is called PS3Key. No price or release date is announced yet but the developers say that getting into the PS3 is as easy as pretending to be a USB hub.

It looks like hacking is becoming a new trend. Remember, you may be able to buy a hack for the PS3 but you will still be banned by PlayStation Network.
