• Review of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Okay, yet another spider-man game, but how does it stack up to the countless others?

The first thing I will have to comment on is that like in the old N64 version of spider-man, Stan Lee is commentating the game. Secondly, the cinematic portion of the game is top notch in my opinion.

Now, the game play is broken in my thoughts. The levels are split into chapters where you end up playing as 1 of 4 different spider-men. After completing four levels that is the "act", there are a total of three acts where you fight through four different levels against some of spider-man's most memorable villains. The ones that I have managed to find are as follows in the order of the "time line" of levels.

    Act I:
    Kraven the Hunter
    Hammerhead
    Hobgoblin
    Electro

    Act II:
    Sandman
    Vulture
    Scorpion
    Deadpool

    Act III:
    Juggernaut
    Goblin(presumably Green Goblin)
    Doc Oc
    Carnage

In each level there are "challenges" that you can complete to earn "money" to unlock extra fighting skills or to just upgrade your spidey. Along with the challenges there are hidden spiders, not the spidey insignia but actual spiders, hidden through out the levels.

As stated above you play as four different spider-men, two of which are very well known. The suits are as follows:
    The Amazing Spider-Man
    Spider-Man Noir
    Spider-Man 2099
Ultimate Spider-Man(or more commonly known as Black suit Spider-Man)

Each of these Spidey's have their own play styles, whether it is stealth or beat the living snot out of some one. The one helping these Spidey's out is non-other than the mysterious Madam Webb.

If having to give a rating on this game I would have to say this game is a solid 8 out of 10. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a good beat down type of game as well as anyone just looking for a fun game.
