Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Coming 4Q 2011

Combat Evolved was the one Halo game I never played. The chance to get this game and play it on Live is a dream. Bungie's original version isn't being remade with higher resolution, it's being reworked with new art, it will support 1080p resolution and 3D televisions. It will also conform to new controller set ups as well. The original audio will remain intact.


The Halo: Combat Evolved remake is allegedly being developed by New Jersey-based Saber Interactive and is one of two Halo games currently in development under the watchful eye of 343 Industries. It will also have a different engine than Reach but no word yet on what that is.

The game is releasing on November 15th, 10 years after the original release of the game along side the original Xbox.

My guess is we'll get plenty of details and trailer in June at E3. Can't wait for this release. It's a bit like milking the franchise for some gamers but there are so many Halo fans who weren't around for the original game that this could be another big hit for Halo, add multiplayer instead of the original split screen and your getting a different game.
