Xbox Slims Need Something Extra For Your X Turtle Beaches

Many have tried and all have failed to get Blue Boxes Turtle Beaches to connect to her new Xbox Slim. It's never going to happen. There is a tab blocking the port that looks a little something like this:



They connect, but the Turtle Beaches only work as a mic, no audio. If your TV doesn't have a separate audio out, your out of luck. Some people like the guy in this video cut the tab off, but unfortunately the internet is full of people who cut the tab off and end up with red rings in a short time. I don't recommend you cut the tab off or trim it so you can use the port but here's the video: (move it up to the 3:47 mark)



Turtle Beach Support has a check list to help your make your headset work. support If worse comes to worse, as in Blue Boxes case, you can get a cable to work for under $9 on Amazon. It's called an HDMI cable and adapter.
