The game revolves around a Confederation that's protected by a group of mercenaries in the future. You take on the role of Grayson Hunter and his friend Ishi who find themselves surrounded by hordes of mutants and flesh eating gangs in an abandoned paradise. They have two objectives: get off the planet alive, and exact revenge on the man who sent them there.
Bulletstorm has a campaign co-op and a multiplayer. Rather than the usual deathmatch and team-based competitive modes, Bulletstorm offers a cooperative affair called Anarchy Mode. Anarchy is a mix of cooperation and competition -- four player teams compete against each other for the most points via the slickest kills, but a combined score threshhold has to be met to advance. The rub here is that certain waves of enemies will have obscenely high score requirements that can only be met by completing specific team kills designated by the game.
Sounds different and a adds a new twist to the FPS.
