• Hackers Take Aim At Sony

    The group called Anonymous is seeking revenge for what they consider Sony's abuse of the judicial system in an attempt to censor how products work or keeping product owners from taking apart their system and still being allowed to use them afterwards.

    Anonymous is widely known for hitting Amazon and Mastercard with DOS (deny of service) for their participation with the US governments demands that corporations stop doing business with Wikileaks.

    The group also claims to have brought down the right wing fundamentalists Christian group, the Westboro Baptist Church and the e-mail system of security firm HBGary.

    The group is seeking revenge for what they consider Sony's abuse of the judicial system in an attempt to censor how products work or keeping product owners from taking apart their system and still being allowed to use them afterwards.

    Sony's pursuit of GeoShotz and others isn't setting well with the Hacker world. This may began an open war between hackers and attorneys that is only getting started.

      I like these guys, they sound like really smart, angry guys. Their slogan is awesome and I see where they are coming from. Unfortunately for them, they are probably not anonymous, there's probably a black vehicle parks across the street from their houses and a crew of construction workers from a random company parked at the end of their street. PARANOID MUCH?

      Idiots' followers threaten violence (oh yes ladies and germs, these mental giants are talking about going into a Sony store and [QUOTE:] Busting some shots)...all because???? I'll wait for the justification for this garbage...

      actually anonymous claimed no responsibility for the psn network hack. and since he usually takes credit for stuff he has done i would say he is telling the truth.

      Actually when this article was originally posted they were claiming responsibility (the 1st attack)...the newest PSN outage has not been claimed by anyone.

      Sony announced yesterday that the outage is caused by "outside intrusions" to me meaning more than one. Anonymous is keeping quiet because of the gamer outrage, but they have done what they said they would do.
