When I found out that Revolution was ending it wasn’t a surprise, it had been well past its peak for a long time and I knew that the members had fallen out of love with CEG. I was disappointed but hopeful too. I was already planning on joining an established CEG squad as a recruit. I know clans are only one part of this site but I have never really been involved properly so I was looking forward to meeting new people and getting involved in some clan activities.


Suffice to say I was very surprised to receive a message asking me to run a UK CEG clan. If there hadn’t been that communication then CEG may have one less clan and may have lost a valuable link to UK gamers. I know there are loads of passionate UK gamers out there. It’s just a case of finding them, and recruiting them.

So ten days ago we didn’t exist, we didn’t even have a name, it was just an idea. Over the past seven days the landscape has changed dramatically. From nothing there is now the beginning of a squad.

We have a name, a banner, a Gamertag and six brilliant new recruits. Actually the timing has worked out brilliantly, we all had a week off from work/school so we got to know each other and become friends by playing online every day.
It really has been an excellent start, much better than I expected.


I know full well that this is only a small step to making a success of it but it’s always nice to start out on the right foot. No doubt the coming weeks won’t be as easy either but I’m sure our members have enough Desire to make it work.
