360 gaming blog.

Some people adore Infinity Ward or Epic some Bioware or Bethesda, me I'm a Valve fanboy. I have been playing their games all week, Portal 2, The Orange Box, Left 4 Dead 2. I really can't get enough of their work.



I have written a blog about Valve before Valve Time but I am in the mood to write about them again. If you haven't played anything they have made then I highly recommend their newest game Portal 2.

To be honest game websites didn't even need to review Portal 2, everyone knew it would be a top class game and surprise surprise it is the best game of the year so far. Even in a year where there are some very big games coming out I wouldn't be surprised if it gets GOTY from some critics.

Currently on Metacritic Portal 2 has 95/100 on the 360 with 47 positive reviews and not even 1 mixed review. The lowest score it has been given is 80 and it has received 15 perfect 100/100s. And these are from some of the biggest and most respected gaming sites/magazines.

I have been so hooked on Portal that I have been reading into the Half Life universe again (Portal takes place in the same game world as the Half Life games). Their ability to create such a believable world is what keeps me interested and enriches the game experience even more.

I even came close to buying a signed Portal print for $100, it's either that or a new iPod and I’m still undecided

I also read an article on Kotaku yesterday that seems to suggest Valve may be done with single player games

I'm really not sure what to make of it, after playing the Portal 2 singleplayer its clear their storytelling ability is second to none and would be greatly missed but a mulitplayer only game from them would surely be awesome as well?
