Well friends, we all knew it was going to be a big year for gamers, and so far I haven't been disappointed. This week I had the chance to play Bioshock 2, another one of this years biggest releases and man did it keep me glued to my couch. I seriously thought my xbox was going to be fried with how much hardcore time I put into this game, but even that would have been worth it.

So here we are, on our return to the dirty, destroyed city of Rapture but this time you know your going to be a total bad ass as soon as you see who you start off as. That's right, it's Big Daddy time. As your walking your Little Sister through Rapture your given some pretty impressive views of the underwater paradise, but your walk in the park is quickly ruined when your Sister is attacked and your blessed ADAM is turned against you, but don't worry, that's just the beginning.

Here we are, without a Sister and an entire city trying to kill you. Figures, right? But before you go crazy with despair just remember one thing, Big Daddy + Big Daddy weapons. 'Nuf said. Let me tell you, nothing is more satisfying than drilling through a group fo splicer and watching them pop. And with all the weapon upgrades nothing can stop you from finding your Little Sister and taking revenge on those who would like nothing more than than to see you fail.

Your choices effect the ending in this game as well, as you choose to take revenge on those in your way or decide to show some heart and let them live. Either way you play out the story, the depth will impress any nay sayer. The Little Sisters return as well, giving you the choice to either adopt them or harvest them for their ADAM. If you do adopt them they will show you where the angels are, then you can let them harvest the ADAM. This was one of the best parts of the game for me since you get bum rushed by all sorts of baddies while the Sister does her work.

The gameplay has also been slightly changed, but it's for the better. You no longer have to switch back and forth between your gun and your plasmids. This made a really big difference, since you can pretty much hit someone with two attacks at once. Pretty Handy. And for all those who were fans of the pipes hacking game, don't get your hopes up. It's been replaced by a slider where you try and time your button in small green lines or blue ones for an added bonus. It's still really easy and can get kind of repetative.

There are a couple of new baddies in the game, the most dangerous being the ninja like Big Sister. You can't miss them, they'll stalk you during the entire game, and man are they vicious. She's like that crazy ex-girlfriend that's been to prison, a couple times....

Overall, I really don't have anything bad to say about the game. It's got stunning graphics, an awesome story, smooth gameplay, intense firefights, and enough blood and gore to keep the darkest of gamers stuck on the couch. So in the end, I would definately have to say

I regret to inform my faithful readers about multiplayer. I was in a rush and I know I deserve a swift kick to the scrotum for forgetting something like that. Well, actually I think this was one of the easiest multiplayer games to pick up on. After my first couple of games I managed to learn the basic secrets of survival for the gametypes offered. That being.... left trigger, left trigger, right trigger. You'll understand once you jump in a game. Bioshock 2 offers a few basic gametypes, being free-for-all, team deathmatch(civil war), a capture the flag; however instead of a flag one team defends a little sister and gains a big daddy, while the other team tries to capture her and put her in a vent. Ther's also a land grab/king of the hill thing, but I didn't really get into that one. Multiplayer is pretty intense but in team deathmatch you need to learn where the big daddy suit is pretty quit, it'll pop up randomly on the map. That part is pretty annoying, but once you find it you can really penetrate without permission. The lobby is aslo really cool. The whole thing is considered the prologue, so with whichever character you choose you go to their apartment. All customization can be done from here including masks, loadouts, and even short journals for the characters unlocked at some level or the other. So my fellow splicers, create havoc and enjoy!

How does that BigDaddy thing work? Does Little Sister make it?

How does the Big Daddy suit work? Is it a pimp looking suit? Why does eveyone want the suit? My imagination is running wild...

The big daddy suit pretty much gives the advantage to either team in team deathmatch. It's the basic looking bubble headed, but there's an instant feeling of "crap" whenever you see that someone on the other team gets it. I only got the chance to play as the big daddy in the "capture the sister" gameplay and your given something that resembles the rivet gun, a proximity grenade launcher, and a bad ass stomp attack that stuns enemies caught in it's range. In the other match types a message appears telling everyone that the suit is availabe. In that time just hope that you can find it, or that you team can. If not, I hope your quick...
