For unknown reasons, some of the first details on Guitar Hero 6 are these. Guitar Hero will not include playable stars as was available in the past.
This means players will not get to play as their favorite stars in the game. This does not mean that the stars will not appear in the game. It has already been confirmed that stars will appear in a new game mode, "Quest mode" where you search for your band and unlock your sets as you go.



This all new quest mode will be narrated by none other than Gene Simmons of Kiss. This also tells us that Gene Simmons will appear as a character in the game and songs from Kiss will be in the new Guitar Hero.

Guitar Hero 6 is also confirmed to feature songs from Queen and Black Sabbath as well as the ability to carry over past DLC and the return of past Guitar Hero fictional characters.
