Become a gaming writer

For those of you that might be interested in pursuing a career in gaming or journalism you may be keen to know that http://ready-up.net/ are looking for three new staff writers.

Ready up is a UK based community gaming website run by professionals but with many amateur writers who contribute blogs and reviews to the site.

Because it is a non profit organisation there is no payment for the work but it is a very effective way to get your work published and many writers there have gone on to become professional journalists.

If you live in the UK you will have a chance to go to press events and pretty much anything gaming related but you don't have to live in the UK to apply. The only condition is that you are at least 18 years of age.

The competition for the places will be tough but it's always worth a go if you think you have what it takes, I applied already , you've got to dream I suppose.

    Nothing against that other site but why would we send our members to another website to write articles for them versus doing it right here for the community they are part of??

    All anyone has to do here is write it. We will gladly publish it.
    Just don't copy and paste from some other website though because we are not interested in that type thing. You need to write someone from your own thoughts using your own words. Take a headline and making it into something good. Post it in your blog and if relevant, we will publish it in the main areas of the site.

    Of course, if you post in your blogs, you are promoting yourself so doing articles , game reviews and other posts get you noticed across the internet as we do global marketing online and offline for CrossEyedGamer
