I have now been a part of this site for over a year and I thought it was high time that I introduce myself to members of Crosseyed gamer.
I know most of you have seen me on the site posting and blogging, but I’m sure very few know who I am and my role on the site.
About me…
I have been gaming for 25 years starting with Pac-man at my local Pizza Hut to getting my first NES in December of 86. I played so much that first week I got blisters on my thumbs. I continued my love affair with NES playing any game my parents would buy me. As the early 90’s came I switched to Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo and where most of my time was sent playing Mario Kart, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter 2, and Mortal Kombat. When I entered high school I took a gaming hiatus so to speak. I had a Nintendo 64 and Playstation, but only played a few games. It wasn’t until I went to college that my love for gaming was renewed where I became obsessed with Mario Kart 64, Resident Evil 2, and one of my all time favorites: Golden Eye.
After College my gaming again took a hit as I was newly married and enjoying the newlywed part of my life. I did own a PS2 and I put in quite a few hours into Metal Gear, Madden, NCAA, MLB the Show and a few others. In 2007 I finally picked up my first Xbox 360 and quickly fell in love with gaming. I was at first a non online gamer playing games like Half Life 2, Elder Scrolls IV, and Assassins Creed. After 6 months of owning an Xbox I decided to tryout online play with Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 and discovered what I missed most about gaming….social interaction.
I was a late comer to Halo 3, but after I played online I was basically hooked for a year strait on that game and even now find myself playing it most nights. I met people through another community one I detest, but also one I am thankful for being apart of because it allow me to meet such great gamers.
What do I do in Crosseyed Gamer?
I am staff…A site admin. What does that mean? That I do a little of this and a little of that to help make the website better for everyone. I post blogs, articles, host podcasts, and help make plans for the future on Crosseyed gamer…basically I am at the mercy of Highlander and Bunny. If you need help with anything on the site please feel free to ask and if I can’t help you I will find someone who can.
As far as the CEG clans…I have no real part of that aspect of Crosseyed Gamer. We already have many good people in place to run that part of the Crosseyed world and prefer to allow them to work their magic. I do encourage anyone who has yet to join a clan to please take a moment to look them over and contact one of the members. They are a great way to meet other gamers.
So brief advice on the site…
Take full advantage of everything the site has to offer. We are constantly running contest, have many discussions taking place in the forums and the blogs are a great area to voice an opinion. In the end take advantage of what the site has to offer and check back regularly as we are always adding more for you to enjoy.
Finally I am always looking for people to game with…and I almost always maintain space of my friend’s list so send me a Friend request and lets play some Halo…yeah legit!!!
