The first lawsuit by a gamer was filed yesterday by Kristopher Johns, 36, of Birmingham, Ala., in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Johns accuses Sony of not taking "reasonable care to protect, encrypt, and secure the private and sensitive data of its users."

Sony has responded to some questions about their PSN outage but the answers are still a bit vague. They are calling the outage to the Playstation 3 and the Playstation store as "Outside Intrusions." (hackers) They are also keeping closed mouth about a possible security breach, could user information have been removed from the system?...they don't know yet.

It's a tough time to be Sony. Most gamers are getting "an error has occured. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network.” The Playstation Network has been down since Wednesday evening. Access to the PSN and the PlayStation Store has been cut off, meaning that you cant. download download titles, sync your Trophies, or play online multiplayer.
