(Writers note: Sorry for the delay, I've had much going on in my life lately, and I wasn't able to get around to playing games)
Before I begin to utterly annihilate and destroy this game I'd like to point out that this is actually one of the most amazing games i've played in a long time and the armored core series will always have my heart and fascination with giant robots and weaponry.
Now onto the nit-picking
I could begin at the many mess ups the creators had made in this game, weather be from the terrible actors to the HORRIBLE disadvantages, but all said and done before - This game actually made me feel NOTHING - compared to most games with horrible actors, this one takes the cake and not only eats it, Finds the nearest small animal and devours that too.
The difficulty tends to be a wee (HAHAHAHA) bit wonky at times, often fluxing to missions you can complete in the time of around one minute to half a century.
The Customization though, Is ASTOUNDING, Ranging to 200+ parts, not to mention tuning, stabalizers, and many more. I often found myself going for the grenade launders immediately (Just like I did in Armored core 3&4) as they tend to do the most damage with a huge radius, The blades finally got a much-needed power down, as in Armored core 4 were often a deciding factor, now you need to get 4-5 hits in before they take down a Next. There were some other weapons there, I just found no use to them as whenever I used them I ended up switching to the explosions. The stabilizers part confused me (Still after ~~7 games) and I still went straight for the ones with the biggest numbers)
Another thing that irks me - Why do games always seem to have the cliche of an unnamed character who will do anything for his alliance or whatever, Seriously - If he dies, What would they put on his gravestone, "Who the hell was this guy?" C'mon people, just a name will suffice, nothing more.
The campaign was rather dull - Giving you random missions from Blow up this thing, blow up these things, blow up this GIANT thing, avoid fire then blow up thing, And defend thing from being blown up by thing so go blow up thing. There wasn't much to do other than that but I can't complain - I love blowing stuff up, it's just abit desensitizing after a while...
But no matter what I say - I've always had a thing for a challenging mech game and I always will have a soft spot in my heart for the games involving them.
