Militant and it's rules towards glitching in MW2

Something that hasn't been covered yet. CEG as a whole does not have set rules, these are governed by the clans themselves.

Militant is here for us to have fun, improve our game and to socialize with gamers either in CEG or otherwise. This brought me to a thought, People out- (and in-) -side of CEG don't like people who glitch for many reasons.

Should Militant forbid the use of glitches? This could range from all glitches to just the ones that make the other team unable to win regardless of skill.


As far as i am concerned, Glitching in private matches is fine, no harm done if you glitch in them.

Going off what hylander posted earlier, A CEG clan can separate thier rules within reason. We will still go off the main rule set, but o make it clearer to Militant members i think its wise to build on the set rules

i personally am against all glitching, even in preivate matches (unless it is discussed before). If someone is glitching in public matches, I religously file complaints for tampering. Even in private matches, it ruins the fun for those that aren't, and in private matches that is typically your friends and clan mates. So I avoid it all together, although I have played a couple care package from heaven private matches and that is a blast as long as everyone knows going in.

Ah, but what if we forbid anyway major glitches? An example is the infinate care package glitch (whihc just annoyed wolf, me and torn to stupid levels....)
but minor ones such as the care package speed increase (which i dont tihnk is a glitch, just common sense) should be ok.

Good poll i voted against glitches in ranked matches,

last night was just a pure show of tampering, every game (really) apart from the mere one or two games everyone was doing that s h i t, and it ruined my night of gaming seriously, they should be glad i was behind my t.v screen and not face to face with em cause i was close to launching my xbox out the window.

just to clarify, Scooter is correct that CEG Clans have rules. There is a very simple Code of conduct that the clans follow and then each clan itself will have it's own set of rules. this is the structure he is eluding to as well as the rules pertaining to the CEGArena.com matches.

It can be confusing sometimes as we are all CEG/CrossEyedGamer. For some that is nothing more than being a gamer that sociializes on a website. We got an arcade, social groups, user albums, chatrooms, forums, game reviews, news and tons of cool stuff.

We do have a few hundred people that never get on the site. They register and never come back. They are XBOXLIVE , PS3 or PC Gamers that just game. Most of which are in CLANS. Mostly CEG clans but many are in other clans as well.

Lots of us have been in clans and gaming communities which do things a bit different in that the owners aka Council dictate what the gamers can and can not do inside their clans.

Our staff (owners, editors, etc..) that maintain our site do not dictate clan rules. We surely can help you, guide you and even replace you if we have too but if someone wants to have a clan that glitches, do it. If you want to have a clan that runs around naked while playing uno, do it. Just don't do something illegal or otherwise give us a bad reputation online as we will step in and shut you down at that point. sorry but them there or the laws we have to follow or we get shut down!

CEG clans have freedom to be the REAL GAMERS they are not just have that as a motto and then be restricted by ego maniacs that think they can control gamers at will.

I'm against using all glitches in ANY match, so much so i've put MW2 back on the shelf until I've heard something is done about it.. so I'll be on WaW until then.

In private it is ok if everyone agrees, but in public i don't think its right at all, certain glitches are different though. Like the 10th prestige glitch i think thats fine because its not really affecting the gameplay its just a prestige doesn't make your guns more powerful, But a glitch like the care package glitch which does affect gameplay is a bad glitch and shouldn't be aloud

well the care package glitch and speed glitch are gone now. so they are out the way.

Now "Playing dead" tactic, people consitute it as a glitch but its not.

there is a difference between cheating and glitching, also its very hard to define "everyone else" when "everyone else" does it aswell in matchmaking

i think it depends on what glich you are talking about. i say major gliches such as care package glitches that you get like 10 of them. but if its elevating gliching thats diffrent. elevator can be major and minor depending on how you do it.
