Are you lost in Lost....a great show with a great ending...kinda sorta.
After the first couple seasons with the flash backs, then came the flash sideways, the smoke creature and the obsession with 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, I had too much anxiety. The boat coming and taking people, what was up with that. Some things were never explained and now never will be.
What I did always get was the tug of war between being a Person of Faith or a Person of Science. Locke felt all along that they were on the Island for a reason and in the ene he is proven right. It was nice to see him get the respect and closure he deserved.
Jack's flash sideways revealing his ex wife was a surprise as was his meeting with his dad. Using his dad to tell him and us that what was thought to be an altered reality was actually the afterlife...something I told myself in the very first episode. How could all those people live through that plane crash and what if the people who died where the ones that actually lived and are back home now? I soon got lost in Lost but always thought this is too unreal to be real.
We didn't get all the answers we wanted and much of the show will be discussed by fans and geeks alike for a long time. The final few minutes with everyone together, happy and relaxed was a joy. The people of the island had gone through so much drama and pain, they deserved their peace in The End.
Jack going to his final resting place in the same forest that the show started was in a way as beautiful as it was chilling. All the people of the Island may not be "Living" happily ever after, but to rest in peace after 6 years of turmoil was a joy in it's self.
