The big idea behind Kinect (other than the fact that the Wii had it a year ago) is to get people off their comfy chair and move. That's cool but do I really want to take cover behind my love seat from a sniper above me? If someone tosses a grenade at me will it land under my coffee table? Hope not.

I don't see this as a gamers choice of controllers. There I said it. Before we start we need to set some ground rules. You hear the SERIOUS GAMER won't use Kinect, don't tell that to the bowlers at Shady Oaks Retirement Home on Tournament night. Serious Gamers fit in every category of gaming. Whether it's Checkers or a Legit 10th Prestige in Modern Warfare 2, all take their game serious.

New terms for gamers is obviously needed. FAMILY GAMERS fits more with the Wii and Kinect gamers. Letting kids game and move is a plus for all parents, keeps them busy while they're updating Facebook. GAMER GEEKS is perfect for PC, RPG and MMORPG gamers. The Kinect is also a perfect tool for those gamers. (You know who you are) ASSASSINS IN TRAINING are the First Person Shooter, stabber or head hunters. Kinect in my opinion doesn't play well with others in this group.

Why? Space. My game room isn't as big as The Guardian on H3. You look up and see a rocket heading at you face and you dive into your wall. That's got to hurt. Free roaming and running to areas on the map while shooting isn't stand up worthy. Not interested. Give me my comfy chair a large sweet tea and I'm good to go.

The Kinect is a beautiful thing, it's a must have in gaming. I personally love the voice and hand commands for the dashboard. The voice control is also awesome for handicapped gamers. The move controller is probably out of the question for those in wheelchairs or gamers with limited mobility but Kinect's voice does make it possible to do more in gaming than previous options, and give handicapped gamers the ability to play more complex games. To me the voice control is the best feature of the controller and one I'll use most.

I'll get Kinect and will enjoy it. It has a place in gaming, Just don't knock my tea over and we're all good.
