Every so often in a game you find yourself routing for the bad guy or one of your characters team mate in a game. Would Batman have made it in Gotham City without Robin? We will never know. Some of these guys need their own game. Here's my list, let me know if you have any I missed.
Ok, seriously Robin is sweet in his Holy Jumping Catfish kind of way but a crime fighter out on the loose is a no go. If he broke a nail there would be Hell to pay. The one member of the team that needs their own video game is Alfred. He's actually the mastermind behind the whole Batman dream team.
Alfred makes the gadgets, keeps the Batmobile redesigned for every game or movie, and the batcape pressed and clean. When Batman has an idea, Alfred already has the plan and tools in the Batbelt ready. I'd love to play Alfred in a game and have him bake some cookies while tracking Poison Ivy on the Bat Satellite. Oh baby!
While we're talking old school, lets bring up the greatest bounty hunter in all the universe. Boba Fett! A bounty hunter game would be awesome, tons of bounties to collect, repossessing Star Fighters, running into old enemies and making new ones. That would be a sweet game.
Ever notice in all the Star Wars games that when there was trouble the hero was in a position of no way out, in comes Boba Fett. We need this game.
In Gears of War you can play as either Marcus on Dominic. Most people play as Marcus and Dom is right behind him. Give Dom his own game people! He deserves it, no one handles a chainsaw shot guy like that man can.
Can't go any further without mentioning Halo. What member of that team would you like to play.......oh it's Cortona. Sure she's an A.I but she's created after a real person. She's the cloned brain of Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, the person responsible for the Spartan Project. That's the person we need a game about. As for the A.I. Cortona, well I'm a woman and don't have the same obsession with Cortona as most of the male gamers have. I didn't find her that cute myself but Dr. Catherine Halsey gave her ever thing we needed to finish the fight.
Luigi and Yoshi where lots of fun but we've played them enough.
My favorite game of all time is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In that game the one character you didn't see enough of but was always there to help when you needed to get to the Princess was Impa. She's actually a recurring character in the series. She serves as body guard, nurse maid to the Princess. That's a Super Hero if I've ever seen one. Any teenage girl is hard to handle add being a princess to the mix who's got the hots for a boy in green with a Master Sword and your going to need super powers just to make it through the day.
That's my list, fill me in on yours.
